10" (25 cm.) l. A bisque figural depicts three ladies posed as though sharing a secret, one woman with arm outstretched holding a curtain which secludes the trio, one with arms folded behind her head and with closed dreamy eyes, and the third listening intently. The figure, which has rare bisque finish with wonderfully-detailed costume and accessories, separates at the center to reveal the double hidden inkwell inside. Generally excellent Germany, mid-1800s.
