13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, open mouth with modeled hole for bottle nipple inside mouth, slender kid bebe body with pin jointing at elbows and hips, bisque forearms with separately-sculpted fingers, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne 2 (head) Bru No.2 T (shoulders). (original Bru paper label on torso). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1886, his beloved Bebe Teteur. Value Points: an especially beautiful example of the doll has original nursing turn mechanism at back of head, perfect bisque hands, sturdy original body.
