Description

5 1/2" (14 cm.) Each has one piece bisque head and torso, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, tiny teeth, original brunette or blonde mohair wig, loop-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted white socks with blue rims and black strap shoes. Condition: generally excellent, boy has tiny flake on tip of right thumb. Marks: 100 (torso and limbs). Comments: Kestner, circa 1910. Value Points: perfectly preserved boy and girl with soft voluminous wigs, wearing original knit costumes and caps in the Kate Greenaway style.
