24" (61 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady, blonde sculpted hair waved away from her face into arranged loose curls held by a band of black beads at her crown, fully sculpted pierced ears, painted blue eyes with black outlined irises, red and black upper eyeliner, brown single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, sculpted bodice with ruffled collar, blue trim, and black Iron Cross necklace, newer muslin body and bisque limbs, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Alt, Beck and Gottschalk, circa 1870, the doll was inspired by the Empress Augusta Victoria whose signature jewelry was this necklace. Value Points: very fine quality of sculpting on the sought-after model with superb sculpting of hair and bodice.
