12" (30 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady with slender face and elongated throat, golden blonde sculpted hair arranged in three layers of wide curls framing the face, forming into a pageboy curl at the back held by a wide braid, painted facial features, blue eyes, tiny closed mouth, blushed cheeks, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque forearms, lovely early brown silk gown, undergarments, leather slippers. Condition: generally excellent, chipped fingers on left hand. Marks: 10D. Comments: Germany, circa 1870, especially beautifully defined features for a small doll.
