Description
6" (15 cm.) A Union Army soldier stands alongside a cannon, in front of a fort tower. When coin is placed in the cannon, the hammer pulled back, and the thumb-piece pressed, the coin is shot into the tower, while the soldier's arm rises as though directing "Fire!" The coin trap is impressed "Patd Feb 2 1875" and the base is impressed "Pat May 31 1892". Overall good, the base and tower are separated, original painted finish albeit some fading, mechanism functions well. American, 1890s, J. & E. Stevens.
