Description
23" (58 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, blonde painted baby hair, very plump cheeks and chin, small blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, brushstroked brows, rounded nose, closed mouth, shaded and outlined lips, composition bent limb baby body. Condition: generally excellent, two fingers repaired. Marks: D Lori 1 (incised) S&C (green stamp). Comments: Swaine and Co, circa 1918. Value Points: very fine delicate complexion with soft blushing, spectacular antique costume including lace-bodiced gown, undergarments, quilted ivory silk cape with lace and fringe trim, ruffled lace bonnet.
