24" (61 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, brown-glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows with feathered detail, shaded nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with hint of tongue tip between the teeth, outlined shaded lips, pierced ears, dimpled chin, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid bebe body, kid-over wooden upper arms, bisque forearms, Chevrot hinged hips, wooden lower legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne 9 (head) Bru Jne No. 9 (shoulderplate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1884. Value Points: very beautiful brown-eyed bebe has flawless bisque and perfectly preserved original body, lovely antique costume.
