23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, large blue glass inset eyes with darker blue outer rims, thick black eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, thick brushstroked brows with feathered details, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, impressed dimples at philtrum and chin, pierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig in long ringlet curls, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, body not original. Marks: 183. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1882. Value Points: dramatic eyes enhanced by rich eye decoration, beautifully-painted lips, lovely antique costume.
