Description
25" (64 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly-painted dark lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: R. 10 R. (and artist checkmarks). Comments: Emile Jumeau, the model was made about 1893 as a special commission; the initials R.R. remain a mystery, and few examples exist today. Value Points: rare model of Jumeau with very fine bisque and painting, original body and body finish, antique costume.
