12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head, very wide blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, widely-arched brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with shaded lips, impressed philtrum dimple, well-defined chin, brunette hand-tied human hair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with loose ball joints at hips, knees and elbows, lovely antique costume. Condition: bisque excellent, body, torso and legs original with original finish, arms appropriately sized albeit not original. Marks: 2 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1878. Value Points: the earliest period luxury bebe with splendid expression, eyes, bisque and painting is very rare, especially in this petite size.
