4" (10 cm.) The slant-fronted writing box has embossed red leather cover with floral design and gilt-lettered "Papeterie". The lid hinges open to reveal compartmented interior with miniature writing paper, tools, and two brass-capped miniature glass inkwells. Excellent condition. French, circa 1875.
