18" (46 cm.) The paper mache bull-dog has well-defined musculature and overall flocked finish, loosely-nodding head, collar and ruff, brown glass eyes, upright ears, and hinged jaw which when open reveals his ferocious teeth. Tiny wheels are hidden below his feet and when he is pulled along by the original attached chain, he opens and closes his mouth, while growling. Condition: very good, some wear to original finish. Comments: French, circa 1900. Value Points: delightful toy with fierce growl.
