Description
7" (18 cm.) The bust depicting a black man has highly-characterized features, painted red shirt with white collar and blue bow, hinged right arms with extended curled fingers designed to hold a coin, movable brown eyes, and movable tongue. When the lever is released, he flips the coin into his mouth, his tongue moves, and his eyes roll up and down. Incised "Jolly Nigger Bank" in arched design at the back of shirt. Generally excellent. English, circa 1900.
