Description
Comprising 7" tin brown plate with surmounting head of black man in top hat with beaming smile; unusually hidden hinging of hat, mouth, and neck allow the man to appear to be lifting his hat, nodding, talking and smiling when lever is activated for the complicated movement that is visible from the back; along with Amos or Andy push lever face (lever works but no movement occurs); and embossed tin black face whistle with stuck-out tongue; and amusing embossed tin head of a man with changeable noses and features; clamp the wire handle together to cause the noses to change, marked JDN, Made in Germany, DRGM. All very good to excellent. Circa 1925.
