Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) h. 6 1/2"l. The cast iron elephant with curled movable trunk and box-shaped howdah above a painted blanket. When a coin is placed on the elephant's mouth and lever released, the elephant pushes the coin into his mouth with his trunk, and the lid of the howdah lifts up revealing a little wooden man with painted black hat. Very good/excellent, original paint with some wear, mechanism functions well. American, circa 1885, Enterprise Man'f. Co.
