Description
8" (20 cm.) Carved wooden man, socket head with two-part head, painted black complexion, narrow painted eyes, closed mouth with pronounced lips, wooden body jointed at shoulders and hips, defined musculature of torso. Condition: generally excellent, few paint flakes by right ear. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1909, described in their catalog as "Native with Spear" from the Adventures in Africa series. Value Points: seldom found person from the series with original finish, costume and accessories.
