19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, French composition body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent, original finish with flaking on hands. Marks: SFBJ Depose 7. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1900. Value Points: beautiful paperweight eyes, the little girl has luxurious original wig, wearing original rose silk dress with brown velvet trim, undergarments, net stockings with black leather shoes. In his book, Fascinating Dolls, Samy Odin noted the doll as a "splendid example of classic dolls from the beginning of 20th century".
