Description
12" (30 cm.) Standing upon a three-wheeled green metal platform is a bisque-headed doll with lovely delicate complexion, brilliant cobalt eyes, portrait like expression with hint of smile, painted features, pierced ears into head, blonde mohair wig, carton torso and legs, wire upper arms, wooden hands. She is wearing her original (faded) mauve silk gown and carries a bouquet of silk flowers. When wound, the wheeled platform proceeds forward and in circles while she raises and lowers the bouquet of flowers as though enjoying their scene. Condition: generally excellent, mechanism functions well. Comments: attributed to Vichy, Paris, circa 1865.
