17" (43 cm.) Paper mache head, brown enamel inset eyes, closed mouth, black human hair, paper-wrapped torso, cloth upper arms and legs, paper mache lower arms and legs. The doll is wearing original elaborate silk padded costume with accessories. Generally excellent. Included is a photograph of Shirley Temple holding the doll. Japan, circa 1935.
