Description
24" (61 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with elongated oval face and very elongated throat, black sculpted hair with centerpart arranged with a cluster of four ringlet curls over each ear, and a very tight double braided chignon at the back of head, black enamel eyes, closed mouth, original slender body with wooden lower arms and legs, painted brown ankle boots, antique calico gown, undergarments. Condition: old restoration to finish on face, repairs to body. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: very rare with highly characterized features and glass eyes, rare coiffure.
