Description
16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, unusually large ears, blonde painted baby hair, small blue glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, two beaded upper teeth, composition bent limb baby body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F.S. & Co 1271/402 Deponiert. Comments: Franz Schmidt, circa 1912. Value Points: rare character with uniquely sculpted ears, deeply impressed cheek dimples, double chin, fine quality of bisque.
