29" (74 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated face and very full cheeks, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with flat-cut derriere and straight wrists, antique cotton voile dress with cutwork and embroidery, undergarments, shoes, wire-framed bonnet. Condition: generally excellent, some body retouch. Marks: 9 (raised number). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1882. Value Points: very deep modeling of full cheeks and impressed dimples around the mouth, choicest bisque, original body, and original wooden box.
