Description
8" (20 cm.) l. ram. 4 1/2" doll. Carved wooden one-piece baby boy has sculpted hair, enamel eyes, rosy overall complexion, posed for lying down or as angel, and with shaped silver halo on head, resting in wooden crade. Along with two carved earthenware animals including resting lamb with enamel eyes and black/white/brown combmarked details of his hide, and a large ram with horns, enamel eyes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Neapolitan, early 1800s. Value Points: fine details on each figure, original finishes overall.
