12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with plump cheeks and throat, blue glass enamel inset eyes with rich spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, impressed chin dimple, lambswool wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, pretty lace dress and bebe pin, leather shoes signed L.I. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F 5 G. Comments: Gaultier, circa 1882. Value Points: very beautiful pale bisque and splendid spiral-threaded eyes on the early bebe, original early body with original finish.
