15" (38 cm.) Posed atop a hollow paper mache white horse with painted details and horsehair tail and mane is a warrior with very exaggerated painted facial features, and wearing elaborate armor and kimono. Condiiton: good overall, with original finish, some wear and missing elements of costume. Comments: Japanese, early 1900s, a popular culture piece. Value Points: in view of its popular street background, the piece retains remarkable originality.
