Description
11" (28 cm.) l. 8"h. The Louis XVI-style wooden two-drawer chest with bombe-shaped drawers is decorated in the Chinoiserie manner with faux-marble top and having gilt bronze mountings and drawer pulls. With a pair of seven-arm candleholders and a mother-of-pearl clock with decorative metal mountings of a winged cherub, lion's heads and paws. Generally excellent, unknown if clock is functioning. The chest is a mid-1900s maitrise model, candleholders and clock, circa 1885.
