17" (43 cm.) Paper mache head with flat-cut neck socket that accommodates to torso dowel, sculpted brown hair with defined forelock curls, sculpted stuck-out ears, painted shaded brown eyes with spiral-threading, black and brown upper eyeliner, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, blushed cheeks and ears, composition toddler body with jointing at shoulders and hips, nice antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, few tiny paint rubs. Comments: Germany, circa 1915, maker uncertain, the model was inspired by the Kathe Kruse genre. Value Points: rare highly characterized character with well-defined features.
