Description
11" (28 cm.) circ. 14" l. Solid domed bisque head with flanged neck, sculpting details depicting a crying baby with scrunched eyes and wide-open mouth, rosy complexion, tan painted baby hair, tiny bead eyes with red accent line on either side of eye, sculpted tongue, muslin body, composition hands, antique baby gown. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 255 2 O.I.C. made in Germany. Comments: Kestner, circa 1910, when torso bellows is squeezed the hands clap back and forth. Value Points: rare model with excellent sculpting details, rare body mechanism.
