Description
9" (23 cm.) Standing upon a tinplate platform with spoked wheels is a bisque head doll with brilliant cobalt eyes, lushly painted lashes, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, blonde mohair flowing wig over cork pate, carton torso and lower legs, bisque hands. When wound, the platform glides forward and in circles. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Vichy, circa 1865. Value Points; charming toy in very rare petite size, wears original (frail) silk costume with gilt accents.
