Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with modeled bosom and shoulder blades, brown glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading and great depth, thick dark eyeliner, delicately brush-stroked brows, mauve-blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined shaded lips, tiny tongue tip, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid bebe body with scalloped-edge collarette, gusset-jointed hips and knees, kid-over-wooden upper arms, bisque forearms with separately sculpted fingers, beautiful velvet dress, undergarments, woven stockings, velvet shoes, elaborate cutwork-ruffled bonnet with ivory silk ribbons and streamers, jewelry watch. Condition: generally excellent, especially sturdy body. Marks: Bru Jne 10 (head and shoulder plate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1884. Value Points: an exceptional bebe with very fine sculpting, beautifully shaped nose, desirable tongue tip, impressed dimples at philtrum and chin, perfect bisque hands.
