Description
16" (41 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with black painted pate, painted facial features, pink kid body with shapely torso, painted mitten hands and feet with original metallic bands for costume. Condition: generally excellent, finish original and fine, body very sturdy. Marks: m'k" 4c 3f 50 (ink note on back torso). Comments: French, circa 1850, the doll has its original hand-tied wig with original delicate ribbon-twined braids, and original silk Turkish style costume of couturier quality.
