24" (61 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,blue glass spiral-theaded eyes with darker outer rims,thick dark eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented eye corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with pale accented lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,padded stockinette-over-metal-armature body with bisque hands and bisque lower legs and bare feet. Condition: generally excellent,fine professional restoration on top of right foot. Marks: 7 (head,shoulders,legs) F.G. (shoulders). Comments: Gaultier,circa 1875,the body was deposed by Pannier and created by Gesland,its purpose to allow realistic posing possibilities. Value Points: grand size that is rare for this body,rare Gesland body with beautiful bisque limbs,wonderful eyes and eye decoration,and wearing superb antique costume of golden silk with layers of ruffled lace,matching bonnet,undergarments,leather shoes,and superb velvet purse with ormolu medallion and belt clip.
