Description
7 1/2" (19 cm.) Painted pressed tin figure with defined facial features and brown hair, tin sailor hat lettered "Columbia", painted tunic, the arms and legs covered with navy blue fabric, and a fabric striped cotton collar is tacked onto tin bodice. When wound, the sailor leans side to side. Condition: near mint, well-functioning. Marks: (original Lehmann imprint on feet). Comments: Germany, Lehmann, circa 1900. Value Points: superb original condition of the early toy.
