The leather-bound book with gilt lettering "Stranger Than Fiction by The Voice of Experience" was published in a limited edition by Dodd, Mead in 1934 of which this is number 564. The frontispiece is ink-written "Inscribed to Miss Shirley Temple, petite First Lady of the Screen - with all the admiration a fellow has to give. M. Saylor Taylor, Voice of Experience".
