Description
22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head depicting a strongly-featured native American, rich sienna complexion, painted brown eyes, black upper eyeliner, black angled brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with sternly-set lips, black mohair wig, sienna composition and wooden ball-jointed body, suede costume with fringed and beaded detail, leather moccasins. Condition: generally excellent, some typical wig pulls. Marks: 1303 S&H Germany 2 1/2. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910. Value Points: rare model especially in this larger size, with outstanding sculpting of facial features including furrowed lines around the nose bridge, eye corners, and mouth.
