8" (20 cm.) Bisque socket head with pronounced plump cheeks, tiny brown glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, tinted brows, accented nostrils of tiny nose, open mouth with outlined lips, two porcelain lower teeth, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden toddler body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1407 20 Germany. Comments: the sweet toddler was designed by the American artist Joseph Kallus, trademarked as "Baby Bo-Kaye" and commissioned by George Borgfeldt from Germany, circa 1927. Value Points: rare model designed by named artist, with fine luminous bisque, most endearing expression, antique costume included.
