19" (48 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with lightly tinted complexion, sculpted black hair is waved smoothly around the sides of her face and captured under a sculpted gold snood with white ruffled border that is decorated with gilding and a cluster of purple grapes and leaves, painted blue upper-glancing eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain arms and legs, painted tasseled boots, nicely costumed. Condition: head excellent, limbs have hairlines and chips. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: rare model with superb detailing of fancy snood, fine lustrous patina of porcelain.
