23" (58 cm.) Pale bisque swivel head with flat-cut neck socket on original bisque shoulder plate,very plump face,cobalt blue glass inset eyes,thick dark eyeliner,painted lashes,lightly-feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with accented lips,unpierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French kid poupee body with shapely plump torso,gusset-jointing at elbows,hips and knees,stitched and separated fingers,wearing lovely coral gown of silk faille with lace trim,undergarments,shoes,jewelry. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E (?) B (shoulder plate). Comments: Eugene Constant Barrois,circa 1860. Value Points: beautiful large poupee with rare and intricate neck construction allowing the head to turn realistically side-to-side rather than un-natural 365 swivel.
