Description
12" (30 cm.) A bisque-headed lady with swivel head, blue glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, carton torso, and bisque forearms, is attached to a three-wheeled fancy carriage with iron spoked wheels and silk tasseled cover; an all-bisque doll with blue glass eyes, swivel head, closed mouth, painted boots, and original silk costume rides in the carriage. Condition: generally excellent, slight paint wear to carriage, tiny flakes at arm peg holes of all-bisque doll, mechanism functions well. Comments: Vichy, circa 1875, when key wound, the lady "walks", pushing the carriage forward. Value Points: rare luxury toy is enhanced by beautiful face of lady.
