27" (69 cm.) Bisque socket head, very deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate, French kid bebe body with Chevrot hinged hips, wooden lower legs, bisque forearms and hands, pretty antique costume. Condition: bisque head excellent, reglue on shoulderplate, fingers on right hand restored, body sturdy. Marks: Bru Jne 11 (head) No 11 Bru Jne (shoulders) Bebe Bru...(paper label on front torso). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1885. Value Points: splendid eyes contrast her beautiful complexion with fine subtle blushing, finest quality of bisque.
