Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, short feathered slanted brows with modeling details, rounded nose with accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips with classic accent at center of lower lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, beautiful antique costume of dotted Swiss dress, undergarments, bonnet, rose shoes and stockings, and carrying little rose enamel jewel box. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S&H 1279 Dep Germany 13. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1900. Value Points: rare model with superb bisque, impressed dimples in cheeks and chin, original wig, body, body finish; the doll is shown in the book, Rare Character Dolls, by Maree Tarnowski.
