Description
21" (53 cm.) Paper mache (hard composition) solid domed head with flanged neck, brown sculpted hair with side part and forelock curl waved across the forehead, painted brown side-glancing eyes with unusual white eyedots, thick dark upper eyeliner with four painted upper lashes above each eye, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with two painted teeth, muslin body, composition hands. Condition: generally excellent, flaking on right hand. Marks: SFBJ 246 Paris 9 (head). Comments: SFBJ, circa 1930. Value Points: rare model in fine unplayed with condition, artful painting of hair and eyes, wearing original flannel costume and cap, and preserved in original box with colorful illustration label.
