10" (25 cm.) Solid domed paper mache head with brown glass eyes, painted features, mohair wig, cardboard torso with interior bellows which, when squeezed, causes the baby to open and close its mouth as though wailing, composition lower limbs. Condition: very good, facial finish has repaint. Comments: Germany, circa 1875. Value Points: the dainty little doll with rare open/close mouth mechanism is presented in her original woven baby bed with generous lace fittings.
