Each has felt mask face with pressed and painted facial features, brown side-glancing eyes, painted upper lashes, brown eyeliner, single stroke brows, bow-shaped mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body. Condition: good, all original albeit some fading, dustiness, and few moth holes. Marks: Poupees Gerb's 29 Rue Gauthey Paris Made in France (original cloth label on girl). Comments: Poupees Gerb's, the Paris cloth doll studio, circa 1930. Value Points: the pair of dolls wear stylish children's wear of the era, the boy with wonderful argyle sweater, striped stockings and black and white britches with matching brimmed cap, the girl with locks of hair peeking from the sides of her stitched-on cap.
