Description
15" (38 cm.) Wax over paper mache shoulder head of young child, dark glass sleep eyes, painted features, mohair curly wig, paper mache lower torso, hands and feet, wooden arms and legs, non-working bellows crier, antique baby gown. Condition: good, original faded finish with some craquelure. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: included with the early taufling baby is a wooden baby cradle with traces of original painted decorations, and nice old baby quilt.
