18" (46 cm.) All felt doll over firm armature body, pressed and painted facial features, blue side-glancing eyes, dark eye shadow, painted upper lashes, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, blonde mohair braids, felt jointed arms, felt legs with hinged hips and hidden wheels under soles of feet, brass soles, original felt dress and shoes, organdy undergarments. Mechanism in torso when wound by attached torso key, should cause the doll to walk, turn head, move arms up and down; intricate switch details in feet can direct the doll to turn right or left. Condition: fair, some spotting, costume faded, mechanism needs adjustment. Marks: Made in Italy Brevetto (feet). Comments: Italian, Marazzi, the firm operated from 1926-1929 only. Value Points: very rare doll with notable intricate mechanical feature.
