Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,pale blue glass inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,closed mouth,accented lips,brunette human hair,cork pate,pierced ears,all-wooden fully-articulated body with very shapely torso,dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,swivel jointing at wrists,hips and upper arms,separately carved fingers,wearing fine antique gown of ivory brocade and sienna velvet,undergarment,leather shoes signed C.C.,with mother-of-pearl silk-lined purse,bone-handled silk parasol,and superb set of coral jewelry. Condition: generally excellent Marks: 4 (head and shoulders). Comments: Gaultier,circa 1870. Value Points: rare wooden body with deluxe articulations has original finish and wonderful shape,beautiful bisque,painting,and costume with luxury accessories.
