Description
15" (38 cm.) Felt-over-pressed cardboard socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, single stroke brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, bow-shaped lips of closed mouth, blonde mohair flocked curly hair, felt body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: fair/good, some dustiness, costume fading, few moth holes in body. Comments: SFBJ, their model 247, SFBJ registered a depose for this sleep eye construction in 1924; the doll is discussed in Fascinating Dolls by Samy Odin page 232. Value Points: the doll wears original blue cotton dress with felt applique trim, matching cap; the model was produced only in very limited numbers.
