8" (20 cm.) Amber-tinted bisque socket head, brown glass side-slant sleep eyes, painted lashes, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, black mohair wig, five-piece paper mache body with painted grey stockings and decorated peach slippers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Germany A.M. 8/0. Comments: Marseille, circa 1890. Value Points: beautiful lustrous patina of amber complexion, rare painted stockings and shoes on original body, antique embroidered silk costume.
